Feeding Support for Restrictive and Selective Eaters

Reduce mealtime anxiety and food refusal with a gentle, play-based approach that builds real progress.

Our feeding therapy is play-based, low-pressure, and specifically designed to support children with long-standing restrictive eating patterns.

We use research-supported, evidence-informed strategies, including systematic desensitization and skill-based teaching, to promote gradual and meaningful progress. Through structured play, guided food exploration, and clearly defined steps, children build tolerance and comfort at their own pace.

Rather than rushing change, we focus on increasing flexibility and expanding food variety in a way that feels safe and predictable. Children move from interacting with food to tasting and eventually incorporating new foods — without pressure or force.

Our goals include:

  • Expanding food variety while respecting sensory needs

  • Reducing anxiety and avoidance around non-preferred foods

  • Increasing focus and efficiency during mealtimes

  • Supporting independent eating skills

Sessions are individualized to each child’s sensory profile, communication style, and developmental level. We prioritize positive, confidence-building experiences with food and teach skills that generalize across home, school, and community settings.

Our feeding therapy programs are designed to cultivate a healthy, trusting relationship with food. Through safe, structured, and gradual exposure, we systematically reduce food aversions and expand flexibility so that mealtimes become less stressful, more inclusive, and aligned with each family’s unique vision for shared meals.
