Inclusive Friendship Groups and Social Programs

Small, inclusive groups designed to build connection, confidence, and skills pivotal in developing lasting friendships.

Our friendship groups bring together 3–5 individuals of similar ages, developmental levels, and shared interests. By building groups around themes children already love, we create natural opportunities for connection rather than scripted or artificial social practice.

We recognize that differences in communication style, regulation, processing speed, and social confidence can make peer interactions more complex — not a lack of desire for friendship. Our approach is strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and focused on building genuine relationships within supportive peer environments.

Rather than teaching social skills in isolation, we provide guided practice within real peer interactions. Through intentional coaching, scaffolding, and responsive support, children develop greater confidence, flexibility, and independence while actively engaging with others.

Our goals include:

  • Building reciprocal, meaningful friendships

  • Increasing conversational confidence and adaptability

  • Supporting emotional regulation within peer settings

  • Strengthening perspective-taking and collaborative problem-solving

  • Creating positive, successful peer experiences

Our autism social groups and afterschool clubs are based out of the Lower Mainland. Sessions are thoughtfully structured while remaining flexible and responsive to participant needs. We focus on helping children build the tools and confidence needed to navigate friendships in ways that feel authentic, sustainable, and empowering across home, school, and community settings.
